Reconnect With God
The Third Step to Purpose
By now you should
have the big picture. God originally created man to have fellowship with
Him and to live forever. But when man sinned, God separated the tree of
life from man and placed a barrier between man the source of eternal life.
But Jesus Christ came to earth to be the door through that barrier so we
can again have a relationship with God and become part of His plan. Jesus
will one day come again to establish His kingdom and there will be peace
on earth!
God desires to
reconnect with you and He has a plan to do so. Here are the
basic elements that must be in place for you to reconnect:
-
Believe in Jesus Christ. You must believe
that Jesus is God in human form, that He died to pay the price for your
sin, and that He rose from the dead and lives today.
-
Repent of your sins. You must be willing
to turn from all known sin and from a life that is self-directed and opposed
to the will of God
-
Surrender. You must willing to
submit to and pursue the will of God for your life as revealed in the Bible.
Are you ready to connect with God? If you are serious, here is a sample
prayer you can pray:
Jesus, I believe You are
God in the flesh, the Savior of the world. I believe You died for my sins
and rose from the dead. I have been directing my own life, but now I surrender
my life to You. I ask you to forgive me of my sin and be my Lord. Please
change my heart. I choose to follow You. I want to be baptized, and receive
your Holy Spirit. I want to be part of Your plan.
If you sincerely
prayed the prayer above and asked Jesus to take control of your life,
then Jesus will come to live in your heart. You will begin to notice changes
in your life!
You should do
two things as soon as possible:
-
Confess Your Faith. Tell Someone of
the decision you have made. It is important that you are not ashamed to
stand up for what you believe.
-
Be Baptized. Find a Bible believing
Church where you can be baptized. If you need help in finding one, email
us and we will help you locate one.
