Preface

General Goal of the Book
This book is a collection of essays examining specific topics all from a kingdom perspective. One of those topics is the kingdom of God itself which is becomes the connecting thread through the entire book. The goal is to establish a new practical way of thinking which will result in a new way of acting.  I have attempted to put the chapters in a logical order.  I encourage the reader to approach each concept individually on its scriptural merit and decide if you embrace it.

We will be considering how to expand our theological and governmental paradigms to create a Kingdom Paradigm. Whether this is accomplished individually will depend upon how new the concepts are and whether they are embraced. Whether your paradigm is simply expanded or whether you experience a major paradigm shift, I trust the concepts presented will be well worth your time and careful consideration.

Some may immediately jump to conclusions regarding what is meant by a paradigm that includes both theology and government. If that applies to you, I sincerely ask you: please do not assume you know where this book is headed or assume you know what eschatological view is being represented  based on ideas that have become associated with certain words or concepts. There are many good terms that have been hijacked and have been associated with erroneous beliefs.

Paradigm Builders
At the end of most every chapter will be a self evaluation tool. The major kingdom concept from the chapter will be presented and you may record your position regarding that concept.

Example Paradigm Builder (from Chapter One):
The church and civil government are both institutions established by God and the Word of God provides guidance for both.  Civil government is as much a theological issue as it is political one.

How would you describe your position regarding this concept:

    Before Reading The Chapter:
        1- I disagreed
2- I was unaware or ambivalent
        3- I already agreed

    After you read the chapter/book:
        1- I disagree
        2- I am considering
        3- I agree

If you are not sure, you may wish to wait to answer the questions, because evidence to support many of the concepts builds through the book. An evaluation page will also be provided at the end of the book to measure your Kingdom Paradigm. You may wish to use a separate sheet of paper or copy the tally page in the back of the book so changes can be made more easily

Dreams & Visions
I have included some dreams/visions in this book which I believe to be from God, some of which I received 15 years or more ago.  I cannot absolutely guarantee that my interpretations are accurate or complete, or even that the dreams were from God (though I am confident they are). However, I can guarantee that, 1) I had the dream and, 2) I have honestly recorded them and searched the scriptures for interpretation and corresponding symbolism. Over time have come to understand them better. I do not exalt these dreams above the scripture, but stand firmly on the scriptures as the only infallible text.

I have inserted the dreams and my interpretation as confirmation where they seem most relevant. To accept these dreams and the interpretations as valid or not is totally up to the reader.  However, I encourage the reader to consider them and the interpretation as they relate to the scripture.
