The Knowledge Is Power Project is a survey-based educational strategy designed to reach outside our existing relational networks to reach a wider band of people.  Most educational efforts I have been involved with are event-based, which generally attracts those who already agree with what we have to say. In other words, we educate a relatively narrow band of people deeper and deeper. This is good, but it often results in “preaching to the choir.”  Our strategy is to reach a wider audience with a smaller amount of (yet profound) information.

To reach uninformed and uninvolved people, we must meet them where they are and start their “gears turning.” To accomplish this, KIPP strategy uses a brief survey as a tool to engage the individual, pique their interest, educate on a basic level, and identify those who are candidates for more knowledge.

Why The Knowledge Is Power Project Is Needed

As the Scriptures say, “My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.” The universal truth of this principle is being played out before our eyes right here in America. The principles that gave birth to the freedoms we have enjoyed are virtually unknown by this generation. As a result, the freedoms that we have taken for granted in America are being undermined and are disappearing.

James Madison, the 4th President of the United States, is hailed as the Father of the Constitution and a champion of the Bill of Rights. He said: “A well instructed people alone can be permanently free.”  It is a profound truth, if we the people don’t understand what made us free, we won’t be free for long. This is why the Knowledge Is Power Project was established, to educate people regarding the principles of freedom.

The educational system and our government have been infiltrated with those who do not respect the individual freedoms outlined in our Constitution, or the Constitution itself.  Unfortunately, the headline below represents what is far too common in our institutions of learning.

How different the attitude of this professor is from that held by founding father George Mason! 

"If free people do not examine their liberties and how they were obtained, they risk losing these rights."

Those who hold to a Christian worldview and understand the Christian foundations upon which our freedoms rest have been replaced in positions of influence, and we are on the brink of losing our heritage. We must educate the people regarding the key principles of freedom and correct the abuses to our Constitution and our freedom.



Thomas Jefferson said:
“I know of no safe depositor of the ultimate powers of society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power.”

Jefferson also said,
“Educate and inform the whole mass of the people… They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.”

The embarrassing fact is that we have been out planned and out worked by those who do not hold traditional American Values. Those who were once subtle socialists and closet communists are coming out; they are no longer trying to hide their agendas.  Now it is time for freedom loving Americans to plan our work and work our plan. We must take truth to the people.

Using The Freedom Quiz survey as a starting point, we will begin to educate our communities regarding the principles that produce freedom. I am convinced that there are plenty of good freedom loving people who will choose to join this cause if they hear the truth.
